Rodin Motorsport is thrilled to confirm that Joseph Loake will join their FIA Formula Three team for the upcoming 2024 season. Loake who recently won the Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year award, enjoyed a strong season racing in the GB3 Championship in which he finished third overall following a closely-fought year.

2023 saw a stand out performance from the 18-year-old rookie racer; making his debut in the GB3 Championship he was on the pace taking the very first win of the season at Oulton Park. His ability to quickly get to grips with the car during this rookie season, saw him take further victories at Silverstone and Brands Hatch, tallying an impressive four in total, with eight podiums and three pole positions. This fantastic track record placed him in good stead throughout the season where he eventually finished third overall.

Loake’s brilliant year was topped off with the nomination, and subsequent win, of the prestigious Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year award. The Brit took on fierce competition and was crowned as the eventual victor at the Autosport Awards last year which saw him take the coveted top prize: a chance behind the wheel of the Aston Martin F1 car.

Loake said of joining the team for the upcoming season, “I’m so pleased to be moving to the FIA F3 Championship for the upcoming season. To have been given the incredible opportunity to race in such a fantastic championship with Rodin Motorsport is something I could have only dreamed of a few months ago, so I cannot wait to get cracking and make the most of it!”

FIA Formula Three Team Manager Sam Waple said, “Joseph is a driver who has already done great things in his short career. He’s adapted well to every car he’s ever driven and I’m really looking forward to seeing what he can do behind the wheel of the F3 car. While it’s going to, no doubt, be a big challenge for him I have confidence that he will work well with the team and put everything into the upcoming year. I can’t wait to start working together.”
