Belgian racer Thomas Strauven will join Rodin Motorsport for a dual campaign in both the Spanish Formula Four Championship and Winter Series the team is pleased to confirm today. 15-year-old Strauven has taken part in multiple karting championships, despite his short career to date, including the FIA Karting World and European Championships.

Making his debut in single seaters Strauven participated in one round of the Spanish F4 Championship in 2023 in Jerez where, despite the steep learning curve involved, he was able to impress on this debut.

Strauven looks ahead to the 2024 season in which he will participate in a full season racing in the hotly contested Spanish Formula Four Championship which, if 2023 is anything to go by, will feature bumper fields throughout the year. However his first outing this season will be with the team in the Winter Series; the four round championship will see the Belgian driver get to grips with Spanish tracks Jerez, Valencia, Aragon and Barcelona in quick succession. Following this, Strauven will participate in a full season in Spanish F4.

Strauven said of the upcoming season, “I am absolutely thrilled and incredibly grateful to announce my signing with the Rodin Motorsport team to compete in the Spanish F4 Championship. Joining such a prestigious team is an honour, and I can't wait to collaborate with their talented staff and further refine my skills on the track.

“I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has believed in me and made this amazing opportunity possible. I am determined to give my absolute best and strive for success in this new and exciting chapter!"

Spanish F4 Team Manager Paul Wallace added, “The Spanish F4 Championship is filled with so many amazing talents and we really saw the breadth of this last year. The team was impressed with Thomas when he made his debut last year in Jerez and I can’t wait to see what he can achieve with a full programme. We have the winter series up first which will give Thomas some valuable time behind the wheel and getting to grips with the circuits he’ll be racing on throughout the season. I look forward to working with him this season.”
